Food Ministry

Mary Harbison founded the Food Ministries here at Glad Tidings Christian Center over 17 years ago to provide food for friends and neighbors who were struggling financially. The Food Pantry program now is helping provide food relief to more than 60 families each week in Meade County Kentucky.

Food Pantry Schedule - The food pantry will open to families in need every Tuesday of the week except for every the 5th Tuesday of the month. Hours of operation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

1st Tuesday - Toiletries.

2nd Tuesday - Regular Food.

3rd Tuesday - Regular Food.

4th Tuesday - USDA Government Food (To forms of ID needed with current address).

If you are in need and to see if you qualify for participation in the food pantry, please visit our food pantry on the above times and days at the address listed at the bottom of the page.

We are having a food drive to stock our food pantry shelves. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Below is a list of essentials.

Cans of Vegetables; Green Beans, Corn, Peas, Pork& Beans, and Baked Beans.

Cans of Fruit; Peaches, Pears, Pineapples, Apple Sauce, and Mixed Fruit.

Miscellaneous; Tuna, Beef Stew, Chicken & Dumplings, Soup, Cereal, Jelly, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Boxes of Jell-O, Boxes of Pudding and Macaroni & Cheese.

Toiletries; Bars of Soap, Shampoo, Tooth Paste, Toilet paper, Laundry Detergent and Diapers.

To drop off food pantry items, Enter rear side door of the church between the hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Drop box is on the left as you go through the double doors.

If you wish to make a cash donation to the food pantry, you can drop an offering to the Glad Tidings Church Office during normal hours or mail the donations to;
